Servant Leadership
Pastors
God uses servant-leaders to equip and encourage the church to grow to maturity in Christ. Today, some men serve vocationally as pastors, teachers, and leaders. “It was He who gave some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service…” Ephesians 4:11-12.

Deacons
God calls some to serve as deacons by caring for the needy, serving the Body, and leading as examples of Christ to those around them. The New Testament church chose deacons early. Peter instructed, “choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom” Acts 6:3.
Both pastors and deacons undergo examination by the church as they commit to service in these ministries.
Northwest Deacon Family Ministry
The deacons at Northwest each pray for and serve the families of the church. They seek to ensure those in need have help during difficult times, especially widows and the most vulnerable. These are men who love the Lord and serve with their whole hearts.
